Does This Work for Any Name?

Yes — every letter from A to Z has a real hieroglyph glyph mapped to it in the system every piece on this site is cast from (some letters intentionally share a glyph, since real commercial hieroglyph transliteration often merges phonetically similar sounds — K and C, for instance, or V and F). Common two-letter sounds specific to Egyptian phonetics — "sh," "ch," and "kh" — are recognized as their own single glyphs too, not split apart.

One deliberate exception: the letter E doesn't get its own glyph. That's not a gap in the system — ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic writing traditionally didn't record vowels at all, so a name containing E will render without that letter, the same way it always would have in the real writing system this is based on.
